Celebrating Young Talent at Shrewsbury House School
On the 23rd of March 2025, Shrewsbury House School in Surbiton will become the vibrant stage for two thrilling showcases, bringing together talented young performers from nine schools: Weston Green School, Rowan Brae, Rowan Hill, Hinchley Wood Primary School, Thames Ditton Infant School, Cranmere Primary School, Long Ditton St Marys School, Long Ditton Infant School and, of course, Shrewsbury House School.
The showcases feature a dynamic and varied repertoire, highlighting the incredible range of talent nurtured from our clubs in these schools.
From high-energy musical theatre performances to expressive ballet routines and dramatic scripted work, the event provides a platform for students to shine in front of an enthusiastic audience.
A Musical Theatre Extravaganza The showcases include breathtaking performances from popular musicals, with students belting out hits from Hairspray, Dear Evan Hansen, and Pirates The Musical. Their powerful voices and expressive storytelling will leave the audience feeling captivated.
Drama Thrills LAMDA Drama students will deliver gripping performances inspired by well-known television series and classic plays. Themes from The Traitors, Bake Off, and Newsnight will bring a modern twist to the stage, while excerpts from Murder on the Nile will showcase the young actors' abilities to bring suspense and intrigue to life.
Dance that will Dazzle Dance performances will span a variety of styles, from the infectious energy of Streetdance to the elegance of Ballet Bop. The showcases also features an electrifying mashup dance remix, seamlessly blending contemporary beats with captivating choreography.
A Celebration of Creativity and Confidence These showcases are more than just performances; they are a testament to the creativity, confidence, and teamwork fostered in these young artists.
